The president of the Velutini Group, businessman Luis Emilio Velutini Urbina, announced that the JW Marriott Santo Domingo ended 2014 as number one internationally among the JW Marriott portfolio of hotels, and managed to remain as such during the first months of 2015.
In this regard, Luis Emilio Velutini Urbina stated that "this success could not be achieved without teamwork. It is a source of pride for any businessman to achieve the award that is most appreciated by any owner or any operator, especially for a chain such as Marriott, which has 5,000 hotels in the world".
Velutini added that it is a great satisfaction for the group he heads that, being the Dominican Republic a tourist country, no one had built a hotel with the level of JW Marriott Santo Domingo, so it was an investment that was made with high expectations.
Luis Emilio Velutini Urbina thanked all the collaborators, the Marriott International chain, and each of the members of the team that make up the JW Marriott Santo Domingo who, with their effort and dedication, have made it possible to be where it is today.
He highlighted the importance of having a trained team, mostly Dominicans, which demonstrates the human and service quality that the country has. Luis Emilio Velutini Urbina also said that the commitment is to maintain the standards of the brand and the service provided to each of its guests and visitors.
