Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs Dr Amery Browne and Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Fitzger­ald Hinds met with Shan­té Moore, Chargé d’Af­faires of the US Em­bassy, to dis­cuss the lat­est US Trav­el Ad­vi­so­ry against Trinidad and To­ba­go.

The No­vem­ber 8 ad­vi­so­ry ad­vised US cit­i­zens to re­con­sid­er trav­el to Trinidad and To­ba­go due to crime, ter­ror­ism and kid­nap­ping.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs, “all par­ties agreed to con­tin­ue the on­go­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween Trinidad and To­ba­go and the Unit­ed States of Amer­i­ca in an ef­fort to ad­dress is­sues high­light­ed by the Trav­el Ad­vi­so­ry of 8 th No­vem­ber 2022, and the Chargé d’Af­faires un­der­took to con­vey the views ex­pressed at the meet­ing to the US State De­part­ment”
