Shackiel Henry helped Palo Seco Trippy football club (FC) ease into the semifinals of the Deportivo Point Fortin (PF) Community Football League (CFL) with a huge 9-0 win over Erin Boarder Players at the newly reopened Mahaica Sports Complex on Friday night.

Five different players scored for Palo Seco, excluding Akiel Phillip’s own goal, in the first match of a doubleheader at the newly reopened venue. Later, defending champion Guapo Uprising Youths edged Sporting Club Fyzabad, 2-1 in the other quarterfinal match, to stay alive in the competition.

Henry, who won his second “Man of the Match” (MOTM) award of the second season, scored three goals in the opening quarterfinal match. He got support from Tyrel Emmanuel, who netted a pair of goals while Shakuile Williams, Jalen Bristol, and Kyron Williams each put in one in the lopsided affair.

The winner in the second Deportivo PF league, which is designed to bring communities together in the southern borough, will take home $15,000 and a set of championship rings donated by the Muhammed Isa Foundation with the runner-up receiving $10,000, the third-place finisher $8,000 and fourth place gets $5,000
